Catcoin is the First Cat Memecoin. It was created in December 2013 just days after Dogecoin (The genesis block was mined on 23rd December 2013, at 23:03:52 GMT). Like Bitcoin, Catcoin has a maximum supply of 21 Million coins. Supply is distributed to network nodes when they make blocks, with the amount cut in half every 210,000 blocks. Block times are variable and aim to average one every 10 minutes but historically they have taken slightly longer (roughly 12 minutes).
